Back-up QB Matt Cassell finally had his day to shine and show why Coach Belichick has kept him around for 4 years despite the fact that Cassell has not started a game since high school! He came into the game immediately with his back against the wall in his own end zone and after two running attempts failed, he threw a 50 yard bomb to Randy Moss, a throw Brady or any of the best QB's ever could have thrown better. Later, followed up with a strike to Moss for a TD. The Patriots defense was tested in the red zone in the final seconds of the game and thwarted a TD throw to finish the game off. The question on everyone 's mind now is can Cassell fill the huge void that the fallen Hall of Famer has left the offense with. Next week he will be surely tested by the New York Jets. Stay tuned.
