Amy Winehouse is in a stable condition in hospital after suffering an apparent reaction to medication.According to her spokesman, the 24-year-old singer was rushed to University College Hospital following the incident and an ambulance was called to her house in Camden, north London.A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at approximately 8.40pm to an address in NW1 to reports of an adult female taken unwell."We sent an ambulance and a fast response car and the patient has been taken to hospital."A Scotland Yard spokesman said officers were called to clear a crowd of photographers out of the way to let the ambulance leave Winehouse's home.He said: "We were asked to assist in the London Ambulance Service leaving the vicinity where a crowd of photographers had gathered."Winehouse's father Mitch remained with the singer and when asked how serious his daughter's condition was, he held up a takeaway and replied: "This is how serious it is."The singer has publicly battled health problems recently, and it's thought her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's imprisonment has caused more stress. In January, she was allegedly caught smoking crack cocaine on video obtained by a tabloid newspaper, and she spent a stint in rehab before re-emerging for a well-received performance at the Grammy Awards in February. However, her performances at Glastonbury and the Nelson Mandela 90th birthday concert in June were thrown into doubt when she collapsed at her home and had to undergo hospital tests.
